Alzheimer's Disease Overview

Alzheimer's disease is the most common type of dementia. Symptoms of Alzheimer's, including early-onset Alzheimer's, include problems with memory, judgment, and thinking, which makes it hard to work or take part in day-to-day life. As the stages of Alzheimer's progress, memory loss and other signs of Alzheimer's become more apparent. Many people find help with Alzheimer's drugs, but there is no cure for this form of dementia.  ---webmd.com

We would like to thank Dr. Ross for his time and compassion he took with our family. He was very informative and we felt like the only patients he had that day.

My mother was diagnosed with Alheimer's 5 or 6 years ago. I moved in with my parents 4 years ago to help my father take care of my mother. Since then I have been dealing with her disease but also my father's emotional downfall because of it. It's been the hardest thing I've ever had to do and I find myself resenting her for bringing him down. And then there's the guilt over feeling that way. Can anybody identify with this?

Yes this seems very well familiar to my family. When we moved our dad to a place other than his home , he was unfamiliar and got very confused with the new environment. Don't feel guilty. It's normal to feel that way, you are doing the best you can do with the situation you have.
