The Little Star That Could
"The Little Star That Could” is a story about Little Star, an average yellow star in search of planets of his own to protect and warm. Along the way, he meets other stars, learns what makes each star special, and discovers that stars combine to form star clusters and galaxies. Will Little Star ever find his planets? Join us for this adorable fulldome production and find out! Sometimes, being average can also be special. Movie running time is approximately 25 minutes. The show will also include a bonus laser song from one of our laser shows.
One World, One Sky: Big Bird's Adventure
Explore the night sky with your favorite friends from Sesame Street in One World, One Sky: Big Bird's Adventure. Follow along with Big Bird, Elmo and their friend from China, Hu Hu Zhu, as they take you on a journey of discovery to learn about the Big Dipper, the North Star, the Sun and the Moon. Running time, 25 minutes.
The Stars From My Backyard
A live presenter uses "the magic of the dome" to teach school-aged children about the sun, moon, weather, and the constellations and planets visible in the current sky. Along the way, fun stories, songs, and even a passing rainstorm help make this an exciting introduction to the sky for elementary school-aged children and their families.
Wonders Of The Seasonal Sky
Join our live Planetarium presenter for an in-depth tour of our current sky over New Jersey! This ever-changing program explores the season's constellations, bright stars, visible planets, deep sky objects, and celestial highlights. Constellation mythology and recent events are also included. Prepare to ask questions and even answer them as our presenter creates an informal atmosphere for your enjoyment of the current seasonal sky.
Space Aliens: Looking For Life In The Universe
Join our alien experts—“Hopeful” and “Skeptical”–as they examine eXtra-terrestrial files and try to convince each other whether or not life exists beyond the Earth. Follow their astrobiology arguments from the ocean floor to a journey across the galaxy! Recommended for ages 10 and up. Movie running time is approximately 30 minutes. One Day On Mars
ake a “road trip” to the Red Planet and enjoy a fascinating, thrilling immersive experience set to the driving beat of an original soundtrack by DUMAS. You’ll dive into the depths of seemingly bottomless canyons and brave the violent winds that sweep across the icy dunes. Explore a world that humans may well visit within the next few decades. A Teenager's Guide To The Galaxy
Created and hosted by cosmically curious teenagers from Milwaukee schools, this unique cosmic experience will take you on a dynamic journey across the universe and through time. Science Topics Include Black Holes, Cosmology--Origins & Fate of the Universe, Star Cycles, Sun, Earth Origins & History, Water Origins & Chemistry.
Audiences will learn many facts about these topics and be inspired to learn more. Many NASA resources were used including activities, websites, and pictures. One example is the Hubble Deep Field pictures of galaxies. Movie running time is approximately 30 minutes. The show will also include a bonus laser song from one of our laser shows.
