FIREWORKS SCHEDULE 2014

Some towns are changing plans because of the impending arrival of Tropical Storm Arthur. Please check with the towns to make sure events are still planned as scheduled.

OCEAN COUNTY

FRIDAY, JULY 4

BARNEGAT The concert scheduled for today by Sounds of the Street will moved to the Brackman Middle School, located on Barnegat Bouevlard North. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. with the concert starting at 7 p.m.

BEACHWOOD: UPDATED: Due to weather, fireworks have been rescheduled for dusk on Saturday, July 5th at the Beachwood Beach at Clubhouse Way.

LAKEHURST: Lakehurst will kick off its Fourth of July with a car show at Lakehurst Elementary School from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. We will also have a parade down Union Avenue at 11 a.m. with a lineup at Railroad and Union Avenues at 10:45 a.m. We will end the evening with fireworks at dusk at Lake Horicon Park, at the corner of Union Avenue and Lake Street. LONG BEACH TOWNSHIP: LBI Freedom Fest runs from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, July 4, and Saturday, July 5 at the Long Beach Township Municipal Building, 6805 Long Beach Blvd. Live music, classic car show, festival food favorites, beer and wine garden, artisans' courtyard with 40 top vendors, kids amusement rides, Saturday night fireworks finale and much more. We will be here rain or shine. First 300 registrants receive a free T-shirt. $40 pre-registration, $50 day-of registration. 609-361-6634. .

MANTOLOKING: 9 a.m. Friday, July 4. Mantoloking Yacht Club, 1 Downer Ave. We are gearing up for a very festive 4th of July celebration with activities for kids and adults of all ages culminating in a gala family dinner. 732-892-6281. .

PINE BEACH: Pine Beach. Parade will proceed at 9 a.m. from the Pine Beach Chapel at 501 Hillside Ave., west on Prospect Avenue, let on Avon Road, left onto Springfield Avenue, left onto Henley Avenue, proceeding to Riverside Drive turning left to Vista Field. All bicycle riders under the age of 18 must wear a helmet. Registration begins at 8:15 a.m. There will be different games and activities after the parade. 732-349-6425.

POINT PLEASANT BEACH:UPDATED: Celebrate Independence Day at nightfall with Jenkinson's annual 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular at dusk at Jenkinson's Aquarium, 300 Ocean Ave. 732-899-1659. www.jenkinsons.com.

SEASIDE HEIGHTS: UPDATED: Fireworks have been rescheduled for Sunday, July 6th on the oceanfront from 9:30 to 10 p.m. Fireworks are viewable from anywhere on the Seaside Heights Boardwalk. Free. 732-830-3700.

SOUTH TOMS RIVER: Enjoy mainstream and reggae music by Oxygen Box Band overlooking the Toms River from 3 to 9 p.m. at Mathis Veterans Memorial Park. Free attractions for kids, vendor booths, crafts, food and merchandise. 732-349-0403. .

TUCKERTON: Parade registration and line up begins at 9 a.m. at the parking lot of Tuckerton Elementary School, 213 Marine St., with the parade starting at 10 a.m. sharp and going to Tuckerton Seaport where all the activities will take place. There will be games, children's activities, photo booth, live music, food/drinks and fireworks. No cars allowed in the county park. Fireworks rain date is Saturday, July 5. 609-713-2370.

SATURDAY, JULY 5

BARNEGAT: Fireworks begin at dusk. Prior to fireworks, 7 p.m. concert with "Hi Fives".at Barnegat Township Municipal Dock, 900 W. Bay Ave..

BARNEGAT LIGHT: Parade assembles at West 11th Street and begins at 6:30 p.m.; Awards and concert (The Liberty Band) will follow the parade at the bay front gazebo, on 7th and Bayview; 609-494-9196.

LACEY: Festivities will begin at 7:30 p.m. at Lacey Township High School, 73 Haines St., Lanoka Harbor. The crowd will be treated to all of your favorite sounds of summer by Not so Normal Entertainment, with the firework presentation scheduled to begin at 9:15 p.m. The fireworks will be on the grounds of the Lacey High School/Lacey Middle School with designated viewing areas in the field adjacent to the tennis courts of the high school. Refreshments will be available at the Lion's Den at the Lacey High School. 609-693-1100.

LAVALLETTE: Join us for our Patriotic Bike Parade from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Lavallette Boardwalk, President Avenue. 732-793-7477.

OCEAN GATE: Parade registration will be at 9 a.m. at Adrian Hall followed by the 10 a.m. parade. Beach activities begin at noon, followed by Wildwood Avenue Beach Band on beach from 7-10 p.m. on the Wildwood Avenue Beach.

PLUMSTEAD TOWNSHIP: Plumstead Township and the New Egypt Elks Lodge will present their 13th annual Rockin' Fireworks Concert from 2 to 10 p.m. at New Egypt Athletic High School, 117 New Egypt Allentown Road. Fireworks go off at dusk. Features professional entertainment, artists and creative people from near and far, as well as food, beverages, games and other attractions in an open country setting. There will be multiple bands playing all day, carnival rides, crafts and food vendors. There's lots of room for the kids to run and play and a lot for the whole family to see and do. The rain date is Sunday, July 6. Free. 609-758-2241.

TUCKERTON Fireworks will be held at 9 p.m. There will be no parade. All food vendors, party crashes trailer, and the DJ scheduled for July 4 will be at the seaport beginning 4 p.m. Saturday.

SUNDAY, JULY 6

LAKEWOOD: A free music concert featuring the Patriotic Band conducted by Wilbur Wittemann that will begin at 7:30 p.m. at Lake Carasaljo. Bring lawn chairs. The Independence Day fireworks display over Lake Carasaljo that can be seen either from North or South Lake Drive, will begin at 9:15 p.m. 732-905-3405.

LAVALLETTE: Concert begins at 8 p.m. at the Centennial Garden and Gazebo, followed by fireworks at 9 p.m. 732-793-7477.

THURSDAY, JULY 10

BRICK: Celebrations from 6 to 10 p.m. at Windward Beach Park, 265 Princeton Ave. Enjoy a concert by The Bronx Wanderers at 7 p.m. with the fireworks extravaganza following at 9 p.m. There will be free shuttle buses available on concert and fireworks nights. Shuttle buses run from Brick Township High School, Midstreams Elementary School, and Drum Point Elementary School from 5 to 8 p.m. 732-262-1000.
