Structure fire at 11 Dickinson Toms River.

On July 29, 2015 at 12:30 am Police and Fire Units responded to a structure fire at 11 Dickinson Avenue. Patrolman Michael DeRosa Arrived and immediately observed flames fifty feet in the air. He determined that a 20 x 20 detached two car garage was fully engulfed with the fire and that it had spread to two vehicles in the driveway as well as several trees. He, and other responding officers, woke several the surrounding neighbors and evacuated them from homes as a precautionary measure in case there was further spreading of the fire.

Firefighters from Toms River Companies #1, #2, and East Dover were able to prevent the spread of fire to the homes however the

 garage was completely destroyed. The two vehicles that caught fire were a 2013 Lincoln MKX and a 2014 Cadillac SRX. Inspector Esposito of the Toms River Bureau of Fire Prevention responded to initiate the investigation of the fires origination. Additionally, the Ocean County Prosecutors Office Arson Unit and Toms River Arson Investigator Detective Thomas DiMichele will be participating in the investigation.

As of this morning the cause has not yet been determined.
