To reward first responders for their service, Lowe's is launching a new discount program.
For three days, Oct. 22-24, eligible first responders can save 10% on select items at stores nationwide and at Lowes.com, the home improvement chain.
Lowe's, a home improvement retailer, announced on Wednesday that it will give first responders their first-ever discount, a 10% discount in stores and online. The offer will be valid for three days, from October 22 to October 24, the week before National First Responders Day.
According to a statement from the company, the gesture aims to recognize first responders' tireless effort and ensure that when they return home, they have a welcoming place to rest.
Lowe’s will recognize firefighters, emergency medical technicians, police officers, nurses and doctors nationwide in store and on Lowes.com.
"By providing this unique discount, we aim to express our gratitude and admiration to the many brave individuals who put their lives on the line every day," Lowe's chairman and CEO Marvin Ellison said.
