Here in New Jersey, is it time to get the snowblowers ready and purchase some rock salt? We could need to do it as early as November, according to AccuWeather's long-range predictions, since there's a chance that a nor'easter will deliver some early snow before winter officially arrives.
It won't be difficult to surpass last year's record-breakingly mild winter in New Jersey, New York, and Philadelphia.
However, according to AccuWeather, the greater snowfall this winter may fall in waves, with one batch falling in November, a calm December, and then an active time in the first few days of the new year.
Known as one of the two almanacs with the longest forecasts, The Old Farmer's Almanac, believes that the Atlantic corridor, which includes New Jersey, will get a higher than normal amount of snowfall this winter.
