2025 Seaside Heights Polar Bear Plunge

Thousands of brave jumpers from all around the state take part in the Polar Bear Plunge at Seaside Heights every year.

It's a fantastic way for everyone to support Special Olympics New Jersey, including individuals, teams, organizations, and corporations.

The 2025 Polar Bear Plunge in Seaside Heights, New Jersey, is scheduled for Saturday, February 22, 2025. This annual event challenges participants to brave the cold Atlantic waters to support Special Olympics New Jersey.

Event Details:

Date: Saturday, February 22, 2025
Location: Seaside Heights Boardwalk, 50 Blaine Avenue, Seaside Heights, NJ 08751

Schedule:

9:00 a.m.: Registration opens at Blaine Avenue

12:30 p.m.: Participants proceed to the beach

1:00 p.m.: Plunge begins

Registration Tiers:

Early Bear: $100 minimum (September – December 31)

Now I’m Ready Bear: $110 minimum (January 1 – January 31)

Better Late Than Never Bear: $120 minimum (February 1 – February 16)

Almost Missed It Bear: $125 flat rate (February 17 – February 22)

A $25 registration fee is required, which counts toward your fundraising minimum. All participants must meet the minimum fundraising amount by the time of check-in.
