32 Year-Old Man Ejected From Car During Parkway Crash In Toms River

According to New Jersey Police, a car and pickup truck collided on the Garden State Parkway on Sunday, injuring a man from Beachwood.

Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron reported that Beachwood resident Christopher Howell, 32, was transported by air to a nearby hospital due to severe injuries.

The collision occurred on Sunday at 3:28 p.m. on the Parkway's northbound side near Toms River's milepost 83.8. According to Lebron, a Ford pickup truck and a Honda passenger car collided as they were going south and struck the guardrail.

According to him, Howell, the driver of the Honda, was thrown from his vehicle during the collision.

The pickup went off the road and flipped over. The driver and passenger in the pickup truck sustained minor injuries, he said. They remained unidentified.

The crash remains under investigation.
