Congratulations to High School East senior Nicole Rosas for being the recipient of the "Unsung Hero" Student Recognition Award from the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office. An "unsung hero" is a person who does great deeds, but receives little or no recognition for them. This award represents the recognition they deserve.
Nicole was presented with this award for responding to adversity, her kindness, and overall concern for others. When asked, Nicole's teachers said that she is always thinking of others and does not do anything for recognition. Her innate leadership ability to benefit others is inspiring. She coordinated an art exhibit at High School East, which benefited the special education students, and inspired other students to take on leadership roles. She is an inspiration to all, staff and students alike.

Congratulations, Nicole! We are so proud of you!
