In the ABC television series "The Golden Bachelor," Shrewsbury resident Theresa Nist and bachelor Gerry Turner consider their future together.
It's confirmed. Theresa Nist, a monmouth county local, has achieved true superstar status as the first Golden Rose winner of the television series "The Golden Bachelor."
Additionally, Theresa, 70, and Gerry Turner, 72, declared their engagement on the show on Thursday night.
Stories and images of the couple and several of the show's participants have surfaced from various media channels, making them national celebrities. Theresa even appeared in photos like to those taken by paparazzi when she recently left a Shrewsbury local business after going shopping.
While in Costa Rica during a trip that was recorded for a previous episode, their bond grew. The ultimate "golden rose" moment also occurred in Costa Rica when Turner proposed to Theresa on a bended knee and was warmly accepted.
The couple's family were among the live audience members who cheered and sobbed as Turner proposed.
The pair appeared assured about their future and expressed excitement when they found out the show would be providing them with a vacation to Italy—a concept they had casually mentioned during their first date at a diner.
