Toms River, NJ – Laura Peterpaul, 61, passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Newark Beth Israel Hospital. Born in Brooklyn, NY to the late Vincent and Laura (DeMorato) Mistretta, she moved to South Toms River in 1977 and resided in Toms River for a majority of her life.
She relocated to Florida for several years prior to returning to Toms River.
Laura devoted her time as a homemaker caring for her large family.
Predeceased by her parents and son, Anthony, Laura leaves behind six children; Linda Musico and her husband Mike, Kenny Hirneisen, Jessica Jackowski and her husband Brian, Tabitha Hirneisen and her significant other Leo Martinez, David Hirneisen and Courtney Jacobson.
Also surviving are her spouse, Michael Peterpaul, eleven grandchildren; Sarah “Nikki” Larsen, Giovanni “Doofus” Hirneisen, Gianna “Boobie” MacFarlane, Madison and Aubree Jackowski, Giuliana “Peanut” Musico, Isaac “Chip” Martinez, Tommy “Weasel” Hirneisen, Benjamin “Humpty” Hirneisen, Cove “Booger” Martinez and Enzo Martinez, as well as her four siblings; Theresa Riccardi and her husband Billy, Janet Fayard, Diane Mistretta and her spouse Chris Torres and Vincent Mistretta and his wife Trish.
She will also be missed by several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Family and friends are invited to join together for visitation and funeral services on Thursday, February 22, 2024 in the South Plainfield Funeral Home, 2456 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080.
Visitation is 5-7 PM and a concluding funeral service will begin at 7 PM.
At the request of the family, cremation will be held private.
