Toms River Teen Curfew: What You Need to Know

The curfew for anyone under the age of eighteen in the barrier island communities of Toms River has been reinstated by the Toms River Police Department.

The northern beaches and Ortley Beach are under curfew until Labor Day. From 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., minors 17 years of age and under are not permitted to be outside without an adult, according to the police.

The kids running errands for a parent or guardian, teenagers traveling to and from religious events, educational activities, or private occasions, and teenagers traveling back and forth to their jobs are the only exceptions.
