In New Jersey, the next few days will be hot and muggy, with daily possibilities of thunderstorms through Sunday.
The most miserable day will be Saturday, according to forecasters. Heat advisories are in place for the majority of the state, and a heat index—a measure of how hot it feels when temperatures and humidity are combined—is expected to reach the upper 90s and low 100s in several areas of the state.
Although there is a chance of rain every day,
AccuWeather forecasts predicted that none of the following three days should be completely unfavorable.
In New Jersey, Saturday is expected to be as oppressive, with highs expected to be in the 90s and a heat index that could potentially surpass 100 degrees in some inland regions. Ahead of another extremely warm overnight, rain showers and sporadic thunderstorms may appear along and southeast of the Interstate 95 corridor throughout the afternoon and evening.
On Sunday, the weather is predicted to be better with partly sunny skies and a low probability of thunderstorms. With highs of about 90 degrees, it will be warm but not quite as muggy as it was the previous two days.
