Tragic Parkway Crash in Ocean County: Motorcyclist Dies, Dirt Biker Hurt

In a collision involving a motorbike and a dirt bike on the Garden State Parkway in Toms River on Sunday, a man from Beachwood was killed and another man from Toms River suffered critical injuries, according to New Jersey State Police.

According to NJ State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron, Antonio Caprara, 26, of Beachwood, passed away at the scene of the collision that occurred at milepost 81.7 southbound on the Parkway at approximately 1 p.m.

Lebron stated that Toms River resident Lenny Ritorto, 49, was transported to a nearby hospital after suffering critical injuries.

According to Lebron, the initial investigation indicates that the collision occurred while Caprara was traveling south on the Parkway's right shoulder while riding a Kawasaki motorbike and Ritorto was riding an SSR dirt bike in the acceleration lane from the Exit 81 entry ramp.

Lebron claimed that when both bikes crashed, the riders were thrown.

According to Lebron, the crash is still under investigation. Visit the GoFundMe for Antonio and His Family.
