Vehicle Strikes and Kills NJ Man Disposing Alcohol After Car Accident

According to Lakewood Police Department on Monday, a man who had dumped alcohol in the wake of his own car wreck was struck by a car on Route 70 early on Saturday and died.

Yosimar Quirozcisneros, 23, was sent to a nearby hospital, but he passed very soon after due to his wounds, according to Lakewood Capt. Gregory Staffordsmith.

According to Staffordsmith, detectives think Quirozcisneros lost control of his 2006 Mazda and it crashed and flipped over on Route 70 west near Vermont Avenue shortly after one in the morning.

Investigators were informed by a witness that Quirozcisneros exited the Mazda, carried drinks to the side of the road, and dumped them, according to Staffordsmith. He stated authorities then discovered they were alcoholic drinks.

At around 1:10 in the morning, Quirozcisneros went back to his car and was struck by a 2003 Lexus being driven by a Hillsborough male, age 21, according to Staffordsmith. According to him, Quirozcisneros sustained severe wounds.

A passenger in the Lexus also suffered a broken wrist and a non-life-threatening head injury.

The investigation is still ongoing, according to Staffordsmith. As of right now, no summonses have been issued.
