$1M Powerball Ticket Purchased at N.J. Grocery Store

According to NJ Lottery, the $1 million Powerball ticket sold in New Jersey for Wednesday’s lottery drawing was purchased at a small grocery store in Newark, NJ.

The lucky Powerball winner made the purchase at Variedades Ecualatinas on Ferry Street in the Ironbound section of the state’s largest city. The ticket matched five numbers but not the Powerball and was the only second-prize ticket bought in the country for the drawing.

Wednesday’s winning numbers were: 1, 11, 22, 47 and 68. The Powerball drawn was 7 with a Power Play of 4X.

Every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands, there are Powerball drawings.

With a $23.9 million cash option, Friday's Mega Millions jackpot is valued at $47 million.
