According to Essex County Prosecutors Office, two little children died in a horrific fire in Newark early on Sunday morning.

The Essex County Prosecutor's Office reports that the deadly fire occurred at 26 Eckert Street.

The two girls were discovered unconscious on the ground by emergency personnel, their bodies badly charred. The girls, who were 6 and 8 years old, were declared dead at the scene despite attempts to revive them, according to authorities.
