New Jersey Residents Urged to Prepare for Cold Temperatures and Frost

Frost Advisories

According to the National Weather Service, thirteen New Jersey counties—Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cumberland, Gloucester, Hunterdon, Morris, Ocean, Somerset, Sussex, and Warren counties—are under a frost advisory. Additionally, the western parts of Passaic County and Monmouth County are under the advisory.

Overnight temperatures are expected to drop into the 30s in many areas.

Frost formation is expected in suburban and rural areas, which could damage or kill sensitive outdoor plants.

The forecast for the next few days includes:
Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 59
Sunday Night: Patchy frost after 4am
Monday: Patchy frost before 8am
Monday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 40
Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 67
Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 50
