Police Seek Witnesses in Deadly South Jersey Hit-and-Run

The public is being asked to assist Washington Township Police in their investigation into a fatal hit-and-run.

On November 4, at around 8 p.m., a collision occurred on Fries Mill Road, just south of the Hurffville-CrossKeys Road intersection.

John DeMarco, 58, was walking southbound on Fries Mill Road, between Riggins Gas Station and Watson Drive, around 8 p.m. when he was hit and killed. The driver left the scene, police said.

Detectives are looking through surveillance footage from local cameras and actively following leads.
