New Jersey's Rainy Weather Forecast: Here is What to Expect

New Jersey will receive a heavy downpour that will help alleviate the drought conditions that the state has been facing for the past six weeks.

Forecasters predict that by Friday, North Jersey and the northern portions of Central Jersey will receive 2 to 3 inches of rain, with the south receiving less.

Rainfall in the southernmost portion of the state is expected to be between half an inch and an inch.

Although little to no accumulation is anticipated, a dusting of snow is also anticipated in the northwest regions of the state on Thursday night and Friday according to Accuweather.

In its morning forecast discussion, the weather service predicted that Friday would be a "chilly, raw" day with showers probable and gusty gusts of up to 25 mph.

At night, highs will drop into the 30s after only reaching the 40s.

On Saturday, we dry out and warm up. High temperatures will be in the low 50s with a mix of clouds and sun, but gusty winds will make it feel colder.

Additionally, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday are forecast to be bright, dry days with highs in the 50s.
