Will New Jersey Experience a White Christmas This Year?
According to AccuWeather's most recent forecast, New Jersey has a "low" probability of experiencing a white Christmas this year.
According to the private weather agency, this is because a milder Pacific air mass is predicted to take over in late December, bringing with it warmer temperatures.
Even places with snow on the ground may see it melt away before Christmas.
In parts of New Jersey, the likelihood of a snowy Christmas ranges from 5 to 25 percent, according to AccuWeather, which also bases its prediction on historical NOAA data.
With an average high of 44 degrees Fahrenheit and an average low of 22 degrees, Christmas Day in New Jersey is traditionally cold. According to WeatherUnderground, the highest recorded temperature for Christmas in New Jersey is 68 degrees Fahrenheit, while the lowest recorded temperature is -1 degrees Fahrenheit.
In their 2024 white Christmas forecast, The Old Farmer's Almanac stated that there is little probability that snow will fall on December 25 in the majority of the nation.
