New Jersey Faces Another Cold Snap with Possible Weekend Storm

By Thursday, the coldest air is predicted to arrive in the state. By Saturday evening, a storm might make its way to New Jersey.
According to News12 , by Thursday, the coldest air is predicted to arrive in the state.

The weather in New Jersey should be relatively calm as Canadian fair weather gradually moves through the area. With the potential exception of Thursday night, there will be more sunshine than clouds in the days ahead.

We might be monitoring a brief "clipper" system that occasionally attempts to shake out a few snow showers. Will it have an effect? Will it build up? Most likely not, but it's worth watching for.
This fair weather system will start to move out of the state by the end of the week, and the winds will shift once more.

From the Carolinas, milder air will begin to creep upwards. It will be a few degrees warmer than the seasonable average of 40 degrees, but it won't be warm enough for shorts and a t-shirt.

On Thursday, a new storm is expected to form in north Texas and make its way to us by the weekend. The effects of this weekend system on the area are still being worked out.

Rainfall is more likely to occur late Saturday.

The models for Sunday and Monday are slightly different. It's possible that cold air will catch up to this stalled or slowed system and alter the rain. Check the latest forecast.
