The advisory runs from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. for the five northeast counties of Union, Hudson, Passaic, Essex, and Bergen. 20 to 25 mph winds have the potential to gust to 40 to 50 mph.
Winds have the potential to break tree limbs, blow around loose objects, and cause
power outages.
It's more likely to be a partly sunny day with highs in the mid to upper 40s in most places, but rain and snow showers are still possible.
For the first time this year, temperatures in far southern counties, such as Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, and Salem, are predicted to reach 50 degrees.
