Another Round of Snow, Sleet and Freezing Rain is Expected Tonight in NJ

According to the National Weather Service, another round of snow, sleet and freezing rain is expected tonight, but this one will focus on northern parts of the region, while southern areas just get rain. Even most northern areas will see a change to rain by dawn tomorrow.

In the far northern counties of the state, where winter weather advisories have been issued by the National Weather Service, icy roads may form.

The advisories, which are in effect from Wednesday at 7 p.m. to Thursday at 9 a.m., cover the entire counties of Morris, Sussex, and Warren, as well as the western parts of Bergen and Passaic.
According to the most recent weather service forecast, those parts of the state may receive 1 to 2 inches of snow and ice pellets overnight before the mixed precipitation turns into plain rain in the morning.

The fast-moving storm is predicted to bring a brief period of snow to most of the Garden State tonight, but due to warmer temperatures, it will soon turn to rain, according to forecasters. Check out the latest weather forecast for your area.
