New Jersey Reports Bird Flu in These Two Counties

Avian influenza has been identified in New Jersey, as wild geese have shown positive results in a minimum of two counties.

On Tuesday, yellow caution tape cordoned off sections of two parks in Allentown Borough, Monmouth County, following the discovery of deceased geese that tested positive for the virus.

Additionally, a goose in Pemberton, Burlington County, has also been confirmed to have the virus.
There is currently no evidence of local human transmission.

Health authorities are advising individuals to refrain from walking their dogs in regions populated by a significant number of geese.
