Brenden Cary, 19, Dominic Reyes, 19, and a 17-year-old boy were killed in a crash that happened on Sunday afternoon along Route 55 in Glassboro, New Jersey, police said

According to Glassboro Police Department, and New Jersey State Policefollowing a chain-reaction collision on Route 55 in Gloucester County last weekend, a third teenager lost their life.

Following Sunday's three-vehicle collision, which also injured a mother and her kid, authorities reported that two individuals in the same automobile had been declared deceased.

State Police stated on Tuesday morning that a 17-year-old teenager had since passed away from his wounds.

His name and the time of his death were not disclosed by State Police.

Brendan Cary and Dominic Reyes, both 19 years old, were named by the police as the first two victims to die. During the collision, the 17-year-old was a passenger in Cary's car.

The superintendent of the Delsea Regional School District said that Reyes was a recent graduate that Cary attended Franklinville's Delsea Regional High School.

According to Superintendent Fran Ciociola, Reyes and Cary were friends with the deceased 17-year-old.

Ciociola wrote to the district community, "We are deeply saddened by the loss of Brenden Cary, Dominic Reyes, and their buddy, as well as the injuries sustained by a mother and her children who were hit by a car on the side of the road." "We offer our sincere condolences to everyone impacted, since the anguish and grief experienced by their loved ones, friends, and our entire community are indescribable."
Sgt. Charles Marchan, a State Police spokeswoman, stated that the collision occurred at 4:17 p.m. on Route 55 North in Elk Township.

Cary's car struck the left-back corner of a Honda CRV in the right lane with its right-front corner. Cary lost control of his direction and crossed into the shoulder, colliding with a disabled Dodge minivan that then toppled.

According to Marchan, three children in the minivan had minor injuries, while the woman who was operating the vehicle was seriously injured.
