NJ Man Arrested for Double Homicide of Ex-Girlfriend and Her Daughter
Trenton Police< Director Steve Wilson and Mercer County Prosecutor Janetta D. Marbrey announced Thursday that a 45-year-old Trenton man killed his ex-girlfriend and her adolescent daughter last weekend by shooting them.
Two counts of first-degree murder, one case of second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon, one crime of first-degree unlawful possession of a weapon, and one count of second-degree certain persons not to possess a handgun are all against
45-year-old Bahin Lynch.
According to Marbrey,
Lynch was the ex-boyfriend of 40-year-old Malika Whiting, who was discovered dead at a Trenton residence last weekend along with her teenage daughter.
On April 12, at around 10:30 a.m., Trenton police responded to a 911 call indicating two fatalities at a property located in the
300 block of West State Street.
Officers discovered Whiting on the stairwell leading to the third story, also with a gunshot wound, and 13-year-old Jairah Biggs in a bedroom on the third floor. According to Marbrey, the mother and daughter were both declared deceased at the spot.
Lynch is an inmate at the
Mercer County Correction Center at the moment. A motion to hold Lynch awaiting trial will be submitted by the prosecutor's office.
