According to Manchester Police Department, on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at approximately 3:22 pm, officers from the Manchester Township Police Department responded to the intersection of State Highway 37 and Colonial Drive for the report of a motor vehicle crash involving a motorcycle.

Upon arrival, officers observed a red 2007 Honda CBR motorcycle engulfed in flames within the intersection and a white 2020 Honda Accord with extensive driver side damage on the eastbound side of the road.

The investigation revealed that the motorcycle was travelling west on SH 37, when it entered the intersection of SH 37 and Colonial Drive.

The motorcycle then impacted the Accord which was travelling South on Colonial Drive within the intersection, causing it to travel off the roadway. Upon impact, the motorcycle burst into flames and the motorcyclist was ejected over 140 feet from the vehicle onto the eastbound shoulder of SH 37.
Brick, New Jersey resident William C. Swiderski, 24, was operating the motorcycle. After being taken by EMS to Community Medical Center, Swiderski passed away from his wounds and was declared dead. Job Martinez del Villar, 20, of Manchester, was operating the Accord and was also taken to Community Medical Center for evaluation and treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. While the inquiry and cleanup were underway, the road was closed for a number of hours.
According to his social media posts, Swiderski played lacrosse at Brick Township High School, where he graduated in 2019.

The Brick Township High School Hockey Facebook group posted a tribute to him, saying, "It is with great sadness that we share the passing of one of our former players, Will Swiderski. Will, class of 2019, tragically lost his life yesterday. Will was a multi-sport athlete at Brick Township, although he only played hockey for a short time, his smile and outgoing personality will always be remembered. Will also served in the United States Marine Corps after graduation. Our deepest condolences go out to his family and friends."
The investigation into the crash is still ongoing, but at this point, failure to obey a traffic signal and speed appear to be contributing factors. The crash is being investigated by Patrolman Jesse Hoydis of the department’s Traffic Safety Unit.
