Body Discovered Floating in Toms River: Investigation Underway

A man's body was discovered floating in the Toms River on Friday, and authorities are conducting an investigation into his death.

The identity of the man is unknown. The inquiry was confirmed Monday afternoon by the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office, which received inquiries on the fatality from Toms River police. Authorities said the man was discovered floating in the water behind Point O' Woods Drive on Friday night. He was thought to be in his 40s. That road runs along the eastern edge of the Toms River Country Club.
