Prepare for Severe Storms and Winds Up to 60 MPH in New Jersey

Although Tuesday was sunny and pleasant, the most recent forecast indicates that a powerful storm system may move in by the end of the week, bringing with it significant rainfall and winds of up to 60 mph in the Garden State.

According to AccuWeather experts, severe storms are heading east across the nation and will reach the northeast by Thursday. Even while the system won't be as powerful when it arrives in the area, there is still a chance of severe weather, especially in North Jersey.
Mostly in northwest Jersey, the National Weather Service predicts isolated to scattered showers and a potential thunderstorm on Thursday.

According to the National Weather Service, a cold front might bring showers and a few thunderstorms to New Jersey on Friday, with the possibility of a significant amount of precipitation. The mid- to upper-80s will continue to be the temperature.
On Saturday, that front will pass through the area, raising the likelihood of thunderstorms and short, intense downpours. The National Weather Service warns of the possibility of a few isolated severe storms.

Although conditions should clear up on Sunday, experts warned that more erratic weather might come early the following week.
