Raheem Montgomery, 50, of Brick Township, entered a guilty plea to Possession of More than Five Ounces of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute before the Honorable Kenneth T. Palmer, J.S.C., on June 16, 2025, in connection with an investigation that took place in July and August of 2024, according to Ocean County Prosecutor's Office.

The State will be requesting a 12-year sentence at New Jersey State Prison at the time of his sentencing on August 1, 2025.
An investigation by the Jackson Township Police Department Special Enforcement Unit determined that Montgomery was utilizing a storage facility in Jackson Township to store and distribute illegal narcotics.

On August 10, 2024, Detectives established stationary and mobile surveillance on the subject storage facility.

Detectives observed Montgomery arrive at the storage facility and leave a short time later in his motor vehicle. Detectives effectuated a motor vehicle stop on the vehicle being operated by Montgomery for failure to use a turn signal.

During the course of the motor vehicle stop, Detectives were able to establish that Montgomery’s driving privileges were suspended and Montgomery was placed under arrest without incident. In a search incident to his arrest, Montgomery was found to be in possession of a large amount of Cocaine.
Subsequently, Detectives executed court-authorized search warrants on Montgomery’s vehicle and the storage facility in Jackson. As a result, Detectives seized additional amounts of cocaine and approximately 100 oxycodone pills. Montgomery was charged accordingly and transported to the Ocean County Jail, where he was subsequently released as a consequence of New Jersey Bail Reform.
