Important Updates for Beachwood Fireworks Over Toms River 2025

NEW DATE: Saturday, July 5th
For almost eight decades, towns surrounding the Toms River have enjoyed the wonderful fireworks display from Beachwood to commemorate the nation's Independence Day.

This custom will continue in 2025, but there will be a significant change: this year's fireworks show will take place on Saturday, July 5, with a rain date of Sunday, July 6.
When it called for bids for the 2025 display last summer, the Beachwood Borough Council, which is in charge of contracting the fireworks firm and managing the staffing and logistics related to the event, decided on the new date.

In October, the council borough approved a resolution to hire Pyrotecnico, a company based in New Castle, Pennsylvania, to perform the 2025 fireworks. The resolution calls for paying $32,000 for a 23-minute show. There are no remarks regarding the rationale behind the date shift in the minutes of the July through October council meetings.
Since the 1940s, Fireworks Over The Toms River, which is supported by donations, has been held annually, with a few exceptions.

Being the biggest display in Ocean County, it attracts thousands of people to Berkeley Township, Beachwood, Pine Beach, Ocean Gate, Toms River, and Island Heights, increasing the population of riverfront towns. As fans flock to compete for the best views, Route 9 is congested with cars, particularly in the afternoon and evening before the performance.
Visit the Beachwood Recreation Department for More Information. For an alternative perspective of the performance, boats also anchor in the Toms River.

Before the fireworks, which are fired off at dusk, families and children can enjoy entertainment at Beachwood Beach on the river. The music for the broadcast comes from WOBM 92.7 FM.
