New Jersey Faces 105-Degree Heat and Severe Storms Ahead

New Jersey's early-week nice and warm weather won't last long, as the latest forecast predicts rising heat and humidity as rounds of severe thunderstorms move in.

Seasonable temperatures are anticipated on Thursday, according to the National Weather Service, and humidity levels will begin to gradually increase on Wednesday.

Given that the heat index is predicted to reach 100 to 105 degrees by Friday, even along the coast, a Heat Advisory might be issued.
Forecasters warned there is some ambiguity about the location and timing of the potential scattered severe storms on Friday.

"Very warm and humid conditions can be expected, combined with daily chances for showers and thunderstorms," the National Weather Service stated for the weekend and the following week.

AccuWeather experts say a heat dome will form and that although temperatures won't break any records, they will still be extremely hot and uncomfortable.
Along the margins of the heat dome, AccuWeather also forecasts "particularly vicious" storms.

The National Weather Service says scattered severe storms could occur throughout the weekend, along with localized heavy rainfall and flash flooding. There is a chance of many showers and storms every day.

Forecasters are unsure of how that will turn out, but things might dry up into next week. It will remain muggy even if the temperatures will be close to normal. Check the latest forecast.
