According to authorities, a raid on the house of a 39-year-old local man on Thursday resulted in the discovery of child pornography.

According to a statement from Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer, Justin Thomas was charged with possessing files related to child sexual assault.

According to Billhimer, the New Jersey State Police received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that someone in the region was uploading pictures of child sexual abuse to the internet.
Law enforcement from the federal, county, and local levels carried out a search warrant at Thomas' residence on Thursday.

The photos of child sexual abuse were discovered after an initial forensic analysis of a USB drive that was taken from Thomas' workstation, according to Billhimer.

After being taken into custody, Thomas is presently being held at Ocean County Jail.

Thomas's lawyer information was not readily available.
