Four Parked Vehicles Damaged After Mail Truck Overturns in Ocean
According to Berkeley Township Police Department, the driver was hurt after a U.S. Postal Service box truck carrying mail toppled on Veterans Boulevard on Saturday morning, damaging four cars, according to police.
According to Berkeley Township police, the collision occurred in the 300 block of Veterans Boulevard around 5:35 a.m.
According to the police, the driver struck a parked car in front of 371 Veterans Blvd. close to the road's shoulder when the 30-foot box truck was traveling east on Veterans Boulevard. Following the collision, the truck traveled more than 200 feet, landed on 369 Veterans Blvd.'s front lawn, and struck two other cars parked in the driveway, according to the police.
According to authorities, the mail truck then turned to its left side in the driveway of 369 Veterans Blvd. after pushing those cars into a car parked in front of 363 Veterans Blvd.
According to investigators, the truck damaged both homes but did not cause any structural damage to either house. Trevor Behrman shared pictures of goods and mail bins falling out of the wrecked truck on social media.
According to authorities, the unidentified motorist sustained cuts all over his body. According to the authorities, he also reported hand pain and claimed to have struck his head but did not pass out.
Berkeley Township EMS transported him to
Community Medical Center in Toms River for medical attention.
All five cars were taken out of the area by Accurate Towing, according to the police. While the crash was being investigated, Veterans Boulevard was closed in both directions for approximately three hours, according to the police.
