Authorities Investigate Brawl Following NJ High School Soccer Game
According to a source, a star soccer player attacked a photographer following a match between rival prep schools in North Jersey on Saturday.
According to NJ.com, amid a brawl between the two teams following the Saturday soccer match between Jersey City schools, a player grabbed a photographer by the throat.
In a statement issued on Monday, Jersey City's St. Benedict's Preparatory School said it is looking into the claim."NJSIAA is aware of the event and is gathering details from all parties involved," said Mike Cherenson, a spokesman for the New Jersey Interscholastic Athletic Association, on Monday. These issues are very important to us.
Although he did not elaborate, he stated that he would make additional material public if it became available.
