New Sports Drama Series Begins Filming in NJ: Oscar Winner Spotted
In Passaic County, an Oscar-winning actor was caught chatting with a local mayor while filming his latest project.
In the city of Passaic, Jamie Foxx, who has starred in films such as "Ray," "Django Unchained," and others, is filming his most recent production, "Tyson."
Martin Scorsese ("Goodfellas, "The Departed") was originally slated to direct the full-length feature picture adaptation of the series. According to IMDb, Scorsese will continue to serve as producer of the plot, which will now be a miniseries.
While filming the next sports drama, Foxx had the opportunity to take a break and visit with Hector Carlos Lora, the mayor of Passaic. Some of the exchanges between Lora and Foxx were captured on video and shared on Facebook.
The two joked about politics and talked about their mutual love of football. Foxx even performed an imitation of Donald Trump that was on par with his Oscar-winning Ray Charles impersonation.
