Everything You Need to Know About the Toms River Halloween Parade
On Friday, October 31, the Toms River Fire Company 1 Halloween Parade will march through the streets of downtown Toms River for the 86th time.
At 7 p.m., the procession is scheduled to begin at the corner of Highland Parkway and proceed east on Washington Street and along Main Street.
According to organizers, individuals and groups who intend to take part in the procession this year could register in advance. On Tuesday, October 27, from 6 to 8 p.m., early registration took place at the Robbins Street firehouse. According to the fire department, registrations will also be accepted at the firehouse from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on parade day.
At 5 p.m., Main Street and Highland Parkway will be closed to traffic.
Officials from the fire department stated that they are keeping an eye on Friday's weather
forecast.
If the parade is postponed, the rain date is Saturday, Nov. 1, at 7 p.m.
If you intend to watch or participate in the parade, be aware of the following:
PARTICIPANTS:
The maximum height for floats is 14 feet.
As usual, the procession and its route are off-limits to politics of any kind.
Every car in line needs to be decorated.
You are required to clean up after your pet and provide proof of immunizations for all pets in the pet divisions.
Every entry must be polite and suitable for a family setting.
No candy, books, brochures, or anything else from motorized floats may be thrown.
Participation is free, but donations are accepted to help fund the parade and the fire department.
To line up for the parade, participants must arrive at the Toms River Shopping Center by 6 p.m.

For Spectators
Bring blankets and chairs for sitting. It is not possible to reserve seats ahead of time; they must be placed on the morning of the procession.
Wear appropriate clothing for the weather. If the weather calls for it, put on warm clothes and gloves.
If you want, you can also dress up in your Halloween costume. It enhances the parade's joyous atmosphere.
All of Main Street's intersections must be kept clean in case of an emergency, so avoid sitting there.
