Heavy Rain and Strong Winds Expected in NJ
New Jersey will have another chilly day on Tuesday before seeing a significant temperature fluctuation and a storm on Thursday night that will bring strong winds and a lot of rain.
As temperatures gradually begin to rise, the near weather pattern stays calm through Wednesday.
On Tuesday, there will be light winds and temperatures in the mid-20s to mid-30s.
Tonight will be chilly once more, with clear skies and lows in the teens and low 20s.
There will be a notable warm-up on Wednesday, with highs in the 40s throughout much of the state.
On Wednesday night, a front with gusts of 20 to 25 mph will move through.
40 to 50 mph wind gusts are predicted from the
National Weather Service, with the possibility of gusts surpassing 50 mph in certain areas, particularly near the Jersey Shore.
Rainfall amounts of 1 inch or more are possible across roughly half of the state.
The most significant impacts will come from strong winds accompanying the storm.
Wind gusts of 40 to 50 mph are expected, with the potential for some locations, especially along the Jersey Shore, to see gusts exceeding 50 mph.
Late Thursday night through Friday morning will see the highest winds.
As cold air comes in behind the storm on Friday, temperatures will drop throughout the day.
From west to east, the amount of precipitation should decrease on Friday afternoon. Before it ends, some snow may mix in with the rain.
For the majority of the day, strong winds with gusts of 30 to 40 mph are predicted.
The weekend looks much quieter. Check the upcoming
