Authorities Locate Body of Teen Who Jumped from Manahawkin Bridge

According to police, the recovery of a 19-year-old male who had been reported missing following an incident at the Manahawkin Bridge on November 25, 2025 has been found.

Following an extensive multi-agency search effort spanning approximately three weeks, the teen was located during the evening hours of December 17, 2025, in the waters near the Manahawkin Bridge.

The New Jersey State Police Marine Services Bureau located the individual using sonar equipment, and the West Tuckerton Fire Department Dive Team subsequently recovered the body approximately 200 meters north of the bridge.

Family members have been notified. The individual was transported to Community Medical Center in Toms River, where an autopsy will be conducted. The incident remains under investigation, and no further details are being released at this time.
