Ocean County Resident Arrested for Credit Card Fraud Activities
Police have arrested a Manahawkin resident who reportedly stole credit card information from patrons while working at a nearby fast-food restaurant and then used it to make illegal online purchases.
Dupreme J. Holland, 25, was taken into custody by detectives on December 30 after the department's Detective Bureau conducted an investigation, according to the
Stafford Township Police Department. Holland is charged with three counts of second-degree credit card theft and three counts of fraudulent credit card use.
Investigators claim that Holland was staffing the drive-through window at a Wendy's restaurant on Route 72 West in Manahawkin on December 15 when the thefts took place.
According to police, Holland is charged with acquiring credit card information from consumers during transactions and then using that information to make illegal online purchases.
Holland was taken to the Ocean County Jail after being processed at police headquarters. Since then, he has been let free.
Police stressed that Holland is deemed innocent until and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law, and that the charges are accusations, just like in any criminal case.
