According to Ruby Contreras, a spokesman for the City of Elizabeth, an automobile crashed into the Dwyer auditorium on Monday morning, injuring a student's leg at Elizabeth High School.

According to police, a driver was observed traveling "erratically" along Bridge Street in the direction of Pearl Street at around 8 a.m. and running a red light. After then, the vehicle crossed a sidewalk and curb before colliding with the auditorium's exterior wall.
As a precaution, one student who was inside at the time is being transported to Beth Israel Hospital after reporting a minor leg injury.

According to officials, the driver was sent to University Hospital with what seemed to be minor injuries.

A big hole caused by the collision can be seen in an image from ABC News New York.
