An ice skater from South Jersey is suddenly realizing his Olympic aspirations.

Mount Laurel, Burlington County resident Isabeau Levito finished third at the Nationals this past weekend.

She qualified for Team USA for Women's Figure Skating at the Olympic Winter Games in Milan, Italy, in February thanks to her bronze medal performance.

Among the 16 skaters on the roster are some of the biggest names in figure skating, such as Alysa Liu, Amber Glenn, and Ilia Malinin. Liu is going to her second Games, Malinin and Glenn will make their Olympic debuts in Italy, while seasoned ice dancers Madison Chock and Evan Bates will compete in their fourth Games together.

Andrew Torgashev and Maxim Naumov joined Malinin on the men's side, while Isabeau Levito secured the final slot on the women's side.
The 2023 national champion, Isabeau Levito, is the epitome of grace and beauty on the ice, which helped her place third at this week's nationals. Given that her mother is Italian and she has relatives in Milan, the Olympics will be a bit of a homecoming for her family.
