Pennsylvania State Police say Siena Marie Brachelli, a 19-year-old college student from Chesterfield, New Jersey, was killed in a rollover crash on Interstate 95 in Philadelphia on Saturday, January 31.
According to state police, Brachelli was driving northbound on I-95 just north of Academy Road when she lost control of her vehicle. Investigators say her white Acura MDX left the roadway, struck a metal guardrail, and overturned into the median, coming to rest on its roof.
Emergency crews responded to the scene, where Brachelli was pronounced dead. Her family has been notified. The crash remains under investigation by Pennsylvania State Police.
Brachelli was a Political Science student at Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia and a member of the Delta Psi Chapter of Sigma Sigma Sigma. She was also a service supervisor at Ordinarie Heros and a graduate of Notre Dame High School in Lawrenceville, New Jersey.
Her sudden death has left family, friends, and the university community mourning a young life lost far too soon.
Sincere condolences to her family. May she rest in peace.
