https://tomsriver.org/police-seek-help-locating-missing-newark-woman/Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., reports a correction to the previous update regarding the location of Sandra Shanks, 60, of Newark, who was reported missing.
Ms. Shanks was located unresponsive inside her home at approximately 1:15 p.m., on Saturday, February 7, 2026. She was pronounced deceased at 1:36 p.m. While this incident remains under investigation, foul play is not suspected.
