Ocean County Man Charged with Cocaine and Methamphetamine Possession

According to the Ocean County Prosecutor Office, on February 12, 2026, Thomas Koch, 60, of Island Heights, was charged with Possession of Less Than One Half Ounce of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Less Than One Half Ounce of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On February 12, 2026, in furtherance of an ongoing investigation, Detectives from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office executed a court-authorized search warrant on Koch’s residence. As a result, Detectives seized quantities of cocaine and methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia indicative of illegal drug distribution, as well as electronic devices.

A forensic examination of the electronic devices is being conducted by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crime Squad, and additional charges may be forthcoming. Koch was taken into custody and transported to the Ocean County Jail pending a detention hearing.

Billhimer credited members of the Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crime Squad and Narcotics Strike Force for their collaborative efforts in the investigation.

The charges are accusations, and Koch is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
