In Loving Memory of 11 Year-Old Daniel Mazurkiewicz from Toms River
According to his obituary, Daniel Mazurkiewicz 11, passed away peacefully on February 16 surrounded by his loved ones after a courageous fight with brain cancer.
Daniel was born on July 8, 2014, and attended school in Toms River. He loved giraffes, building Lego sets, playing Roblox, and watching Star Wars. He enjoyed playing soccer and proudly cheered for his favorite Polish player, Robert Lewandowski. He was always ready for a game of UNO - even if he sometimes mischievously bent the rules just a bit. His bright spirit, playful nature, and determination beyond his years touched everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his devoted mom Katarzyna, his beloved sister, Victoria, his Babcia Halina, and father Ryszard, along with a large and loving family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who stood by him with unwavering support throughout his life and during his difficult journey.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to support the education of his older sister and biggest protector, Victoria, as she pursues her dream of helping children like her brother. Inspired by the extraordinary medical professionals who cared for Daniel throughout his journey, she will be attending UPenn and hopes to become a pediatric neurosurgeon.
