With profound love and sadness, we announce the passing of Ann Marie Caballero-Garrison, 41, who gained her Angel wings on February 13th, 2026, after a fierce and courageous battle with cancer.
Ann Marie was born in Jersey City, NJ, on March 21, 1984 to the late Charles Garrison & Frances Caballero. Ann Marie grew up in Jersey City, but enjoyed her summers and holidays with her family, at the Jersey Shore. She later was able to make her final home and resting place in Lanoka Harbor, NJ where she pursued becoming an auxiliary member of the Toms River Fire Department Company #1, member of EMS squad 26, and continued to build a life centered around family, love, and friendship.
A devoted mother, treasured family member, and friend to all, she was the definition of strength wrapped in kindness. Cancer may have challenged her body, but it never touched her spirit. She fought with bravery, dignity, and an unbreakable will – not just for herself, but for the people she loved most.
Though her time here on earth was far too short, her impact is immeasurable. She is survived by her pride and joy, Madison & Makayla Caballero, her love Jay Ortutay, sisters Annabell & Cassandra Flores, brothers Charles Garrison & wife Melissa, Al Caballero & wife Maryana, Robert Caballero, Michael Caballero & wife Bridget, Aunt Diane Garrison, Aunt Alice & husband Louis DeAngelo, stepmother Wilhelmina Garrison, step-brother Nelson Judan & wife Jade, and many more loving family members and friends who will carry her strength forward.
A celebration of her warrior heart was held on Friday, February 20th, 2026, from 5pm-7pm. at Riggs Funeral Home
130 North Main Street (Route 9), Forked River, NJ 08731
