Alarming News: Ocean County Man, College Dean, Sexually Assaulted Child

The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office has accused a Barnegat man of sexually assaulting a minor under the age of sixteen at least three times in March.

According to his LinkedIn profile, James Hadley, 66, is also the dean of Ocean County College's School of Business and Social Sciences. Additionally, he teaches as an adjunct at Kean University.

On March 13, Hadley went to Pleasantville to engage in a sexual act with the youngster, according to the investigators.

Before he could meet the child, he was taken into custody by Pleasantville police and the Special Victims Unit of the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office, according to officials.

According to officials, Hadley had paid the minor to perform sexual acts during at least two previous meetings.
He was charged with second-degree sexual assault of a victim under the age of 16, second-degree luring a minor to commit a sexual act, third-degree endangering the welfare of a child and fourth-degree criminal sexual contact.

A motion for pre-trial detention has been submitted by the prosecutor's office, and it is provisionally set for this coming week. The investigation is still ongoing.
