Rainbow Trout Stocked Across NJ: These Lakes & Ponds Are Now Open for Fishing

The following lakes and ponds were stocked with Rainbow Trout today and are OPEN for fishing:

New Jersey anglers got good news as several lakes and ponds across the state were freshly stocked with Rainbow Trout — and all of them are officially OPEN for fishing.

Unlike previous years, all trout‑stocked lakes and ponds now remain open year‑round, even during the preseason stocking period. However, rivers and streams are closed to fishing from March 23 through April 11 at 8 a.m.

Cumberland County

  • South Vineland Park Pond

Hunterdon County

  • Demott Pond

Important Regulations
